TV Reality Star Lil Scrappy Jailed For Drug Test Refusal
Lil Scrappy, a former recording artist more known recently for his role starring in a TV reality show, has been incarcerated for flatly refusing to submit to a drug test ordered by a court. The court ordered the testing after Lil Scrappy was arrested last year for violating the terms of his probation on a drug (marijuana) possession charge he was convicted on approximately five years ago.
Lil Scrappy used to make recordings for Warner Brothers, a major recording label, and has recently been featured as one of the stars of the reality TV show “Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta,” featuring members of the hip-hop community in Georgia. News reports indicated that he may have first attempted to pass the drug screening tests by providing a questionable sample that the drug testing staff regarded as possible fraudulent. When asked then to submit to further tests, he reportedly declined. Lil Scrappy is also known as a protégé of another music industry celebrity called Lil Jon.
Counting the October arrest, this is now the second time in approximately six months that Lil Scrappy was incarcerated. He is also embroiled in a controversy concerning a debt he allegedly owes to a booking agency he used back in 2010. The creditor is said to currently be garnishing his wages to attempt to recoup the debt.
