Since the use of drugs has increased all over the world, drug testing has also reached high figures. Due to this many abusers of drugs have been looking around for various methods in which they can beat drug test which have led to increasing number of myths, legends and misconceptions coming about regarding drug testing. Many of these myths are absolutely absurd while others are even disgusting. This post will mention a few of the misconceptions regarding intake of substances that will help show false negatives in drug tests.

The very first myth is that secondhand or passive exposure to drugs will cause the drug test to show a false negative. This myth can be true in certain cases but there are misconceptions present regarding this too. Medical studies show that for this myth to be true the amount of secondhand smoking and passive exposure is very large and asks for the person to be exposed to the drug or substance in a tightly sealed, small space for several hours. Hence a chance for a false negative to appear in case of secondhand exposure is at a very extreme level of exposure. Lastly this kind of exposure doesn’t affect hair follicles as substances are incorporated at the same level regardless of the fact that it is first or secondhand exposure.

Another myth is that high dosages of the medicine Ibuprofen can cause false negatives. This myth is true to some extent however, a false negative is shown in cases of extremely high dosages which is physically impossible for a person to intake. There is also a myth that states that poppy seeds can cause a false negative for the drug opiate. This is true in the case that a person eats or ingests 100 poppy seeds and only for the drug opiate.

Lawmakers in Florida have recently passed and approved a bill to randomly drug test state government employees at any given point in time. This issue was raised in the Senate recently due to the heightened and increase use of drugs in Florida. In the Senate vote the voting ratio came out to be 26 to 14, showing a majority for those in favor of drug testing.

Many approve this drug testing law in order to reduce illegal activities and corruption going on in the Governmental level of the State. They stated that just because a person is a member of the State does not mean that they cannot have a drug abuse problem, and if there are people who are illegal substance abusers, it is better for them to be treated and educated since drug abuse is known to massively reduce productivity. And at a State level productivity is highly important for the welfare of the entire state.

The bill that has been passed asks for State agencies to test up to 10% of any employees after every three months. The result will be firing of those who turn out to be positive. Many would say that this particular activity is rather harsh, however others say that drug abuse is already prohibited for any employed post, so such a harsh action is perhaps necessary for the Government. Many have suggested state agencies to first test more sensitive posts in the Senate and provide treatment to those that show positive results instead of firing them. However, this decision is still not finalized as treatment options are still being discussed.

During the time that the bill was about to be passed, controversies arose as many lawmakers first asked for the Governor and other high posted elected officials to be tested first. Eventually the bill was passed after majority voted in its favor.

You need to protect yourself from devices that are used fraudulently to escape from drug tests. If you are an owner of the firm or are recruiting employees for your company, especially in the United States, you need to equip yourself with all the elements that will help you against these counterfeit products to escape drug testing. These products include the Whizzinator which is a pseudo penis that comes with clean urine bags, heat pads and an adjustable belt. The urine bags contain clean, toxin free synthetic urine that can help you escape any urine drug test throughout the world. And the best thing, it is available online for sale as well with doorstep delivery! Who wouldn’t use such a thing if guilty of drug abuse?

The Whizzinator is amongst one of the products available. There is a whole swarm of products available that will help you appear to be clean and safe. This situation is really bad for employers who spend thousands of dollars on these urine tests. Since such employers conduct drug tests for practical reasons. Studies show that drug abusers are more likely to ten times more likely to miss work, less productive, involved in accidents while working and more likely to file complaints against the company than sober employees.

A huge problem that employers face while conducting urine tests are that they cannot examine the tests very closely, due to privacy concerns by the people being tested. One cannot even keep recording via cameras since these people raise their voices again. Many might be right in doing so, however, others just do it to escape from the actual results. This is a major dilemma in the drug testing industry nowadays and many are still trying to fight back this increasing fraudulent activity and false negatives.

Experts usually blame the poor themselves, for poverty. This is a rather stereotyped approach as when blaming the whole burden of poverty on immoral activities and lack of efforts by the poor, most experts ignore the loopholes in government structuring of assistance and policies. This stereotypical approach can be clearly seen in the recent regulation passed by the government in a state called Georgia. The government declared the power to randomly drug test anyone who is in need of medical or nutritional assistance. Moreover, governmental officers took this to such an extent that they even proposed to charge the poor for this random drug testing at the government’s whim and wishes.

It is true that government may have surplus cash lying around but this does not mean that it starts spending this idle money on random drug tests of poor just to accuse them of one thing or the other. Also if you look at the government’s profile of providing assistance you will be repulsed to see that the rich are provided with the same amount of nutritional and medical assistance as the poor! And only subjecting the poor and those in need of nutritional assistance to random drug testing does not make a good image of the government. Hence regulation forming and passing bodies should sit down and think about the long run before going on a mission to randomly drug test the poor.

How would it look if students applying for scholarships abroad would be asked to take a urine test before turning in their application or what if people applying for mortgages and loans be screened for drug abuse? It would definitely look odd, as this random drug testing for any kind of assistance is rather an absurd ideology. Even if the person asking for assistance is a drug abuser, help is always there.

Drug testing is becoming increasingly common nowadays as the use and abuse of drugs has increased massively. What is a drug test? A drug test asks for a biological specimen from the body of the person being tested. That is the only way drug tests can be conducted. This biological specimen can be in the form of urine, saliva, blood, sweat, hair follicle and oral fluid. It highly depends on the person conducting the drug test, which type of specimen he or she prefers to test. Drug testing is most commonly performed in the area of sports in order to check and detect performance enhancing drugs used by athletes, which are in fact prohibited by law. These performance enhancing drugs include cocaine, marijuana, heroin and cannabis.

Different type of drugs stays within the body for varying time limits and hence classifications have been made for different drugs according to their testing period limit. For example marijuana stay in your system from 2 days to 11 weeks depending on a lot of different factors. Studies have shown that your hair follicles hold any drug intake for the most maximum amount of time as compared to urine and blood.

The process of drug testing is standardized throughout the world. What happens firstly is that the drug testing device is examined properly to ensure that it hasn’t been tampered with. The seal is checked to see if it has been broken or it is secure. Then a sample is obtained from the person being tested, which may be in the form of urine, blood, sweat, hair or saliva. If a hair follicle is examined hair is washed properly in order to ensure removal of any secondary contaminations. The test is then broken down into the drug screening and the confirmation stage. All samples are tested in the screening stage while only the ones that show positive results are rechecked in the confirmation stage.

In states like Missouri and Arizona people are only tested if there is suspicion of drug abuse. However in some states like Colorado all people applying for Temporary Financial Assistance are busy with the problem of how to pass a drug test because they are required to undergo mandatory drug testing. This is stereotyping and stigmatizing the notion that all poor people are drug abusers and that they all would use the benefits provided to them for drug abuse. This isn’t true and many are now criticizing this notion.

The amount of money spent on people being tested for drug use, can be invested somewhere else to provide the poor with greater, better facilities. Instead the government is going about testing people for any sign or spec of drug abuse. What many people criticize about is that this same money can be spent on institutions that provide education and treatment regarding drug abuse rather than testing the poor for drugs.

It has been stated that testing the poor applying for benefits might sound the appropriate thing to do at first. However, it is expensive, inconvenient and counterproductive in some instances. Many who do not consume drugs may even feel violated and humiliated for being tested before providing them with money to feed their family. Furthermore, in this process of drug testing, the entire family suffers if any one member turns out to be positive. If for example, the father is undergoing massive depression or is an addict and is refused any kind of assistance, then his children will be out on the street or living in orphanages. This results in the family being torn apart or in worst cases children living on the streets.

Many also raise their voices to drug test the rich as well and those employed who are involved in providing the poor with money. Solely due to this reason, many organizations are now drug testing possible recruits.

Reporters from Atlanta state that in the city of Georgia, people now applying for welfare benefits which would majorly include the elderly have to pass a drug test before being an appropriate applicant for approval of benefits. The department responsible for formulation of this regulation is the Social Responsibility and Temporary Act, in which adults needing monetary assistance apply for welfare benefits for their families. This Act has been passed in order to ensure that none of the money provided to them by the state goes to buy illegal drugs.

The Georgia House states that even if an adult of the family does not pass the drug test, this does not mean that the children of that house will not be given money. They will be provided with benefits under another head, who will be appointed by the State of Georgia itself. Another two states have passed similar legislations which are Florida and Michigan.

This particular bill has been passed to prevent people from using illicit drugs. Over the years the use and abuse of drug has increased by a great deal leading to increasing levels of crimes and poverty. Governments have tried various reforms in order to prevent this abuse of drugs since it harms the overall economy and lifestyle of the country. Hence now recently, laws to test drug use when applying for welfare, when applying for jobs and providing aids have been made mandatory due to the sole reason that people do not get these benefits in order to purchase drugs. The government of Georgia states that the money can be given to only those who are in desperate need of it and can be used to save many lives. To ensure justice in the legal system, many countries nowadays are testing people for drug abuse on a daily basis.

Easy drug testing kits are now available everywhere. One might question their reliability and the ethicality it carries with such a controversial piece of device. However, many firms and organizations are now buying these drug testing kits to test possible employees while recruiting. Even parents are buying these drug testing kits to keep a check on what their teenage son or daughter is doing. Some may say that these tests are their right, while others may bring forward the issue or immorality and humility. Drug testing kits can also carry a huge cost and can be a hassle for the user as well.

Since the use of such drug testing kits is now increasing all over the world, this blog will provide you with information regarding its usage. Due to the worldwide increase in abuse of drugs, one can never be too cautious. Companies may use it to evaluate the character and personality of its employees while parents would want the best for this child when using such a kit. Whatever the reason might be, these drug testing kits are here to stay.

There are numerous kits present in the market amongst which are hair follicle drug test, saliva drug test, breath analyzer, dip strip urine test, panel drug tests and some specific drug tests such as for marijuana. Now there are certain abbreviations used for these drug tests; (U) represents urine test, (H) represents hair follicle test and (S) represents saliva test. Furthermore, if the sample needs further testing from a laboratory, the abbreviation (L) will be stated on the box and if complete, accurate and precise results can be obtained at home, (H) will be stated on its box meaning its home drug test. Whichever, drug testing kit you use and purchase, you have to make sure that it is a medically certified company for results related accuracy.

The world of sports is such that everyone is striving for a better performance on the field all the time to stay ahead of the competition, and in such an atmosphere, consumption of steroids seems to be an easy way out. Though it is known to all that steroids have side effects that include infertility, acne, liver malfunctioning and in extreme cases even death, sportsmen have always ignored these warnings and continued their use in the hope of better performance. While only Universities and colleges were seen afflicted with the use of steroids among athletes, the effect has percolated down to high schools and teenagers are now exposed to these drugs with steroids rather easily.

Senator Richard Codey, sensing a big problem with such small kids being exposed to drugs, pushed hard for compulsory testing of kids in high schools for steroids during his term as the Governor of the state of New Jersey. In 2005, Codey asked for the creation of a task force for this problem, and taking help of NJ State Interscholastic Athletic Association, the task force started conducting random drug testing of students and teams participating in state championships. What started in 2006 in NJ was followed by just two more states Texas and Illinois.

5 years hence, the program has been a roaring success with random urine drug testing having been converted into regular urine testing. It has served its purpose of being a strong deterrent and has made kids think many times before indulging in steroids. Despite the fact that there are methods of cheating urine test like using fake urine, experts have expressed satisfaction over the performance of the program while emphasizing that the program is not just to catch kids taking steroids but to provide a level playing field for all kids taking part in athletics and importantly, helping in keeping kids safe and secure. More than 2500 students have ben tested so far under this program.

While searching for causes of poverty, many experts tend to blame the poor for their moral wrongdoings which is incorrect as these experts conveniently ignore flaws in the structuring of social and financial policies of the government. This thinking gets reflected in the recently announced random drug testing of beneficiaries of state welfare programs such as food stamps, which guarantees nutritional assistance to the poor in the state of Georgia. In fact, proponents of the bill being pushed in the state assembly, if they had their way, would even ask the beneficiaries to pay for their own drug testing.

Agreed that most taxpayers would not like to see their money being used for drug abuse, but to ensure there is no false use of this money, random drug testing of the poor makes no sense. If one looks at government assistance and the profiles of those receiving benefits from the government, it becomes clear that both poor and rich receive assistance from the government. Then subjecting only people receiving food assistance and unemployment benefits is something that does not go down well with a majority of the population. Therefore, where to draw the line is something that authorities and lawmakers may have to think before embarking on ambitious random drug testing.

Can government push through a legislation asking urine testing of those asking for a reduction in mortgage rates or ask students applying for scholarships to pass random drug test? Does the government have enough guts to ask a senior couple to undergo drug test before they are given their social security benefits?

The population in US is wealthy and it is true that government cannot see starving kids, irrespective of what their parents are injecting into their bodies. At the same time, use of marijuana, which does not have withdrawal symptoms and has easy marijuana detox period, is enough to withhold state benefits to a person than the use of alcohol and tobacco, both of which are hard to give up.
